November Moments: A Fast Recap of 3 Events

November came in with a roar of corporate events from my agency—my busiest month of 2025 so far. Even though many of the bookings came from familiar, long-time clients, no event can ever be taken lightly because every assignment brings its own challenges and surprises. One of the highlights was running into familiar faces; exchanging pleasant conversations and catching up on the go added a welcoming, human touch to the fast-paced world of corporate event photography in Singapore.

Client’s Brief (1)

For this event shoot, the agency’s brief was clear—they wanted photographs that showcased a strong crowd presence to make the event look vibrant and successful, which was very successful by the way. While also highlighting the diversity of attendees. My focus was on capturing authentic moments, dynamic interactions, and a wide mix of people to reflect the energy of the occasion. This approach not only fulfilled the client’s goals but also aligned with best practices in event photography, crowd documentation, and creating visually engaging event coverage that resonates with marketing and branding needs.

Inside Raffles hotel ballroom filled with lawyers

In-house legal counsel gathered for the award ceremony, with many flying in from Malaysia, Indonesia, and Vietnam. The ballroom was absolutely packed. A great success for my client and the sponsor.

Client’s Brief (2)

The agency also requested dedicated shots of the speakers, making sure every key moment on stage was captured clearly and professionally. These images play an important role in post-event marketing, press releases, and overall corporate communication.

They also needed focused coverage of the award recipients. Many were sponsors or regional guests who had flown in from neighbouring countries, so it was essential to document their presence with strong, well-composed photographs—an important part of delivering high-quality corporate event photography.

This image sums up the moment when all the international speakers—who had flown in from various countries—shared the stage and engaged with the audience.

Photojournalistic feel of two female speakers and branding on the tv

Among all the speaker shots from this event, this one stood out as my favourite. The corporate name sits prominently at the top, while the two speakers prepare to address the audience—a moment that carries a subtle photojournalistic feel, almost like something you’d see in the press.

Behind-the-Scenes Coordination

Something I haven’t mentioned before—but is absolutely essential for new photographers covering events—is the behind-the-scenes coordination that happens before each key moment. For this ceremony, there were detailed discussions about where the award recipients should stand on stage, an important step in aligning with the client’s vision. I shared my input from a photography perspective, because positioning plays a huge role in creating clean, balanced, and impactful images. Sometimes these decisions are simple, but other times they require more brainstorming—especially when considering stage layout (such as where recipients will enter and exit), lighting challenges (shadows on the face can be a real nightmare), and the overall event flow (keeping track of speaking segments and transitions). These moments highlight the collaborative nature of corporate event photography, where creative judgment and practical problem-solving come together to deliver the best visual results.
