Medical Clinic Interior Photography For Professional Healthcare Business

RICKY GUI . 4 TO 5 MINUTES READING TIME

Let me share how I got started with medical interior photography. Many years ago there is a medical start-up company based in Europe. I can’t exactly remember the name anymore. So, I was approached by their marketing team to do interior shoot to post on their website. The company would link up with these local private clinics business in prior. Then I am required to visit the clinics weekly, sometimes 2 or even 3 clinics per day depending on the clinic availability. I was given a brief list of what they are expecting, such as specific angle, the do and don’t, who do I contact upon arrival. I will then start to set-up my tripod and camera at the angle, I will need to rearrange the spot I am aiming for, of course with the permission of the staff or doctor. Then move on to another angle till I am satisfied with the result, and of course fulfilling my client’s need. The floor space is not typically big like a hospital, hence it shouldn’t take more than 1hour to complete, usually. Sometimes it might be faster up to 45min. The whole process shouldn’t take too long as most clinics are not exactly free to ‘entertain’ me, business is still a priority as their patient is utmost important.

Once the shoot is completed, I will start editing such as, color adjustment (white balance), contrast, highlight, shadow, sharpness and more. Images are all shot in RAW (uncompressed ) for more room to do adjustments. I also highly recommend beginners to shoot in RAW format than JPEG format. I will then upload the images to cloud and the client will be able to download it for usage. I will take in the feedback if any and await the next assignment allocate by them.

Clean interior view - it takes time to rearrange the table, clutter items in background were removed, chairs were repositioned. #BTS
