The Robbins Company engaged photography services to document the inspection and official handover of a tunnel boring machine before it was transported to India for operations.

Operational Challenges

• Massive engineering equipment approximately 40m long

• Hot outdoor industrial staging yard environment

• Maintaining perspective accuracy when photographing large machinery

• Safety harness required when using boom lift for group photographs

Planning & Execution
Specialised lenses and careful positioning ensured that the tunnel boring machine was photographed with accurate perspective and scale. Boom lifts were used to capture group photographs with the TBM as the background.

Outcome
The final images documented an important engineering milestone and were delivered to project stakeholders. The client later provided a testimonial reflecting their satisfaction.

Calpeda Asia commissioned photography to document newly installed water pump systems located in technical environments that are typically inaccessible to the public.

Planning & Execution
The shoot covered two installation locations, including rooftop mechanical areas and internal infrastructure spaces within commercial developments. I provided art direction by positioning engineers and technicians naturally within the scene, engaging them in conversation about their workflow so they appeared authentic while working.

Outcome
The final photographs document the engineering complexity of the pump systems while also showing how technicians interact with and maintain these installations.

Client Context
BUNZL contact from Australia office required professional imagery documenting their logistics facility in Singapore. The project involved capturing both the operational warehouse environment and portraits of staff from the administration and sales teams working within the facility.

Operational Challenges
• Tight four-hour shooting window during a weekend

• Staff subjects not accustomed to professional photography

• Need to work quickly to complete the shot list

Planning & Execution
A prior site recce at the medium size warehouse allowed the shoot to be planned in advance. The session began with workplace portraits before transitioning into warehouse interiors and architectural documentation of the facility. Clear communication with staff helped them relax in front of the camera while maintaining an efficient shooting pace.

Outcome
The final images document both the scale of the logistics facility and the people behind daily operations, providing professional visuals suitable for internal marketing and corporate communications.
