Jewel Changi Airport

Awesome Awesome Awsome!

It was really a pleasure to check out the biggest hype in Singapore, Jewel Changi Airport. There was a preview launch for the public on 11th April 2019 and i had the time to check it out and hopefully to make some great images.

Entering from the T3 Changi Airport which had a link bridge to the Jewel Changi Airport mall is unique everyone can glance out to see the architecture facade of Jewel on the right. The bridge is wide enough for visitors to move in and out comfortably. Then from a “narrow” sight to the entrance of the mall, if you walk straight right into the centre attraction which is the Rain Vortex, one will feel a massive space that gallop up your visual with impact.

There are numerous view points to check out the Rain Vortex and Shiseido Forest Valley. Every level offer a different impression. Some people said like they had stepped into Jurassic Park in the movie, which i totally resonate with their imagination. A paradise i thought.

Back in 2013, i clearly remembered our Prime Minister Lee revealed a beautiful artist’s impression image of Jewel Changi Airport project during his National Day rally speech, codename "Project Jewel". I recalled there were unhappy voices regarding this project of why do we need another airport, again. I think, in order to stay ahead in this very competitive world. The nation need to constantly improve and innovate as a forward country. I hope Singaporean is very proud of this project.

Jewel Changi Airport is design by Safdie Architects, the architect firm that is behind Marina Bay Sands. Even though is my first visit to Jewel Changi Airport. The longer i explore, there is a strong connection, a familiarity of this place for me. Is like back at “home”, back to a familiar backyard but is even bigger and better. is really a very sensory experience.

On the 5th level there is a Canopy Park, but unfortunately it will be close after the preview for further preparation. the place will open on 10th June 2019. The Canopy Park reminds me of the Cloud Forest dome at Gardens By the Bay. Absolutely enchanting up there!

Lastly, how can i leave without even checking out the night view and Light Show at Rain Vortex.
